BIG SKY MEADOWS
Brett Evje approached Mark shortly after purchasing this older, Kit Cabin in Big Sky, Montana. The cabin was one of the first structures in the "meadow" and now sits at the 9th hole of the golf course. Mark and Brett worked together over several years and different phases to reach this final product. The original cabin, now covered in round log slabs, still sits on its original foundation. The additions, which are clad in rock and vertical boards, have been built over new basement foundations. At the time of construction Brett owned a stone mason company; this allowed Mark to design in large amounts of spectacular stone and still stayed within budget. The new design increased the heated square footage by nearly three times, which transformed the structure from a tight, little cabin into a home large enough to house a family comfortably.
